Dr Lim performs all his major surgical procedure in fully accredited hospitals utilising only fully qualified anaesthetists. Dr Lim will use local anaesthetic for minor procedures and these are carried out in one of his medical suites.

Dr Jake Lim is a fully qualified Sydney trained Plastic Surgeon. Dr Lim specialises in cosmetic breast surgery procedures. He is a current member of Australian Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS), Australian Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (ASAPS) and he is also a Fellow of Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS).
The letters FRACS indicate that Dr Lim has successfully completed specialist surgical training. The Royal Australasian College of Surgeons is the only statutory recognised body for training surgeons located here in Australia.
After completion of his five years of medical training at University of Sydney and following his strong passion for surgery, Dr Lim career then encompassed a further 15 years of general & plastic surgery training. He was subsequently awarded his FRACS (plastics) under the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons. Post completion of his Plastic Surgeon training, Dr Lim visited institutions in the United Kingdom and around Europe to further his interest and knowledge in the field of cosmetic surgery.
Dr Lim takes a very active role in the community educating and training budding plastic surgeons in one of Sydney's most renowned teaching hospitals. In particular Dr Lim's work involves the use of microsurgery and also other reconstructive techniques in order to restore patients to normality following a trauma or disease. His comprehensive background in reconstructive surgery lays an important foundation for Dr Lim's expertise in cosmetic surgical procedures. Dr Lim's finds the area of breast reconstruction following breast cancer particularly rewarding and regularly performs work in this area.
