There has been much recent media coverage regarding the faulty French made PIP breast implants. I would like to reassure all my patients that I have never used this brand of implants. Most of my patients have had the Allergan - McGhan or Silimed brands of implants.

: breast implants - the incision

Three different incision types are used by Dr Lim for breast augmentation surgery:

Inframammary - incision in the fold of the breast
Periareolar - incision around the nipple
Transaxillary - incision is underneath the arm

The incision placement may be influenced by your clothing preferences, the shape of the implant, the size and placement of the implant. Fear of visible scarring results in many patients being concerned about the placement of the incision. Our goal is to achieve the desired final breast size and breast shape and this may determine the incision placement.

Dr Lim will talk with you about the options for incision placement and he will advise you and answer all of your queries during your consultation.
