: breast reduction - the incision

The procedure allows for various approaches regarding the placement of the incisions for breast reduction. The placement and the number of incisions will depend on your breast size and shape and also on the amount of skin and other tissue that requires removal in order to achieve the desired results.

The most common incision is made around the areola, while another from the lower part of the areola vertically down the breast (known as the lollipop incision) and possibly another incision that travels along the breast crease (known as the anchor-shaped incision).

Dr Lim will discuss the breast reduction procedure in detail with you and talk about the surgical approach that is most suitable for you. He will talk with you in great details and you can discuss your concerns with him regarding any queries you have with the procedure. Great care is taken with incision placement to ensure scarring is as inconspicuous as possible, even with low-cut clothes.
